Rights Respecting School

Gold Rights Respecting School

We are a GOLD Rights Respecting School!

In September 2021, we were delighted to be the first school to be awarded the Gold Rights Respecting Schools Award in Cardiff. Over the last three years we have continued to embed and promote children’s rights into our school ethos and culture to improve children’s well-being, their talents and abilities to their full potential.

Since gaining the award, we have ensured that we have been meeting the three main strands to becoming a Sustaining Gold Rights Respecting School:

Strand A: Teaching and Learning about Rights

Strand B: Teaching and Learning through Rights

Strand C: Teaching and Learning for Rights

Watch out for our Rights Respecting spies. Keep up to date with our weekly newsletters to find out who has been respecting other children's rights.

The Rights Respecting Schools Award is a Unicef UK programme that aims to put children's rights at the heart of schools in the UK.

You can find out more information about children's rights at:

The children have fortnightly meetings with Miss Sarwar.
