I would like to welcome everyone back from the Christmas break and hope you all had an amazing time off. I am very excited to get started with all of our lessons and activities for this term. 

Here is a brief overview of what we will be learning. 

Maths/Mathemateg

Every term we practice place value, mental and written methods linked to the four number operations. Problem solving and reasoning

skills are threaded throughout all maths lessons. This term we are focusing on division and length. 

If you want to help your child at home they can practice their times tables and number bonds to 10, 100 and 1000.

Inquiry Based learning (IBL)

This term we are undertaking an expressive arts inquiry. Our big question we will be looking at is ‘How do performers use expression, rhythm and tempo together to tell a story?’. We will explore expression through dance linked to the book ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’.

Literacy, Numeracy, Science, ICT, Geography and History will all be studied throughout this inquiry.

Welsh/Cymraeg

This terms Welsh topics are Ar y Penwythnos (On the Weekend) and

Anifeiliaid Anwes (Pets).

Spanish/Sbaenaidd

We are focusing on hobbies this term including Jugar Nadar Bailar Leer Escuchar música cantar.

Jigsaw (Health & Wellbeing)

In our Health and Wellbeing sessions we will be focusing on 'Being Me in My World' and 'Celebrating Differences'.

Important Information

PE -Pupils will need to bring their PE kit every Tuesday and Thursday. It can be taken home at the weekend to wash if you wish.             

Homework - Pupils will receive weekly homework through online Google Classrooms. This will be set every Thursday and should be handed in using the ‘hand in’ button by the following Tuesday.

Snack - If you would like your child to be given snack in school £1 must be paid at the start of the week.

SCHOOP - We are a paperless school, so if you haven't already please download the SCHOOP app to stay updated. The school code is 4542, and you will need to sign up to the Year 3 class.
