We provide learners with a healthy fruit or vegetable option daily and each child has an opportunity to cook weekly.
Please pay £10 for snack and cooking ingredients for Term 1, and £9 for snack and cooking ingredients for Term 2.

We have a member of staff with a severe and life threatening nut allergy so please ensure you do not provide your child with ANY nut products. This includes: nutella, hazelnuts, some flapjacks and breakfast bars (check ingredients), ferrero rocher chocolates
Language, Literacy andCommunication
We are following the Monster Phonics Scheme. In daily sessions we review previous learning, introduce new sounds and develop fluency with blending and segmenting to spell using correct sounds. Children will be grouped based on their phonics development and will follow the programme at their suited level.
We will also develop our Spelling Punctuation and Grammar, focusing on using full stops, capital letters and conjunctions such as 'and' to join ideas.
In Welsh we will be learning about colours, clothes and the weather in daily Helpwr Heddiw Sessions. Rydyn ni'n caru dysgu Cymraeg!
In Spanish we will be learning different greetings and how to respond to Como Estas? through fun games such as fire ball and mind reader. Es muy diversion!

Mathematics & Numeracy |
Reception will be learning:
- to sort based on colour, shape and size
- recognise numbers to 5
- matching numerals to quantities
- order events of the day
- recognise more or less of numbers
Year 1 will be learning:
- numbers to 10
- addition and subtraction
- number bonds to 10
- ordering and comparing numbers
- writing and reading numbers to 20
We will be exploring the artistic work within Eric Carle's books. We will explore print and collage through engaging activities both indoors and outdoors. We will understand how to create an animal out of collage or print and will develop our skills to recreate our own class copy of The Bad-Tempered Ladybird utilising our skills.
We will be participating in outdoor learning daily, regardless of adverse weather. Please ensure your child is prepared for this by providing them with: a rainproof coat, wellies if it is forecast to rain, gloves and other winterwear when it is colder. We also suggest you send your child with a spare change of clothes in their bag!
Important days:
Homework bags are sent out every Thursday and are due in the following Tuesday.
PE is on a Monday.
On PE days please either wear uniform to school and bring a PE kit in your bag or a labelled plastic bag or come to school wearing your PE kit. We suggest t-shirt, joggers/leggings, a jumper and sport shoes.
